Sumner County Schools Director Dr. Scott Langford Steps into the Classroom as a Teacher for the Day
Jack Anderson Elementary students got a new teacher this morning. At 6'6" he towered over our youngest learners. Dr. Langford loves staying connected with what's going on in our classrooms, so today he's stepping into the Kindergarten shoes! He’s experiencing firsthand what it’s like on the other side, getting a feel for the learning, fun, and yes, even the chaos that comes with it. It’s all about understanding the classroom experience from every angle!
Rumor has it, the biggest challenge wasn’t the ABCs, but snack time negotiations. It’s all in a day’s work making our students #SumnerReady!
Dr. Langford is a former teacher, assistant principal, principal, and chief academic officer. He taught AP English Literature, AP U.S. History, American Literature, American History, Economics, World Geography, and World History.
