Per the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 year of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.
Please note the information below:
- Sumner County Schools ONLY accepts records requests that are completed online. Please use the link at the top of the page to be directed to our ScribOrder request page.
- Requests will be processed on normal business days during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
- Identification verifications will be conducted prior to accepting all requests in order to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Orders will typically be processed within 10 business days from the time the order is received. Orders may be delayed longer than 10 days due to holidays, school breaks, and during August and May of each year.

To obtain GED Scores, individuals must contact the location where the test was taken. In Sumner County, that location is Volunteer State College. Additionally, you may contact the State of Tennessee Department of Adult Education at (615) 741-7054 or the Federal Offices in Washington, D.C. at 1-800-531-1515.
