When is pay day?
Pay day is on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or on a holiday, your pay day will be the last working day prior to the 15th. Your hire date determines when you receive your first paycheck. Please contact payroll for specific details.
How is my pay determined?
For hourly employees who are on a range/step:
- Each job has an assigned pay range associated with it. For example, all Bus Drivers are a range 25.
- Each employee has a step associated with them. As a new hire, you will be placed on a step 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 based on experience and education. We use your application to determine what relevant experience you have.
- Step 0: Entry Level (no related experience or education)
- Step 1: 1-5 years related experience or Associate’s Degree
- Step 2: 6-10 years related experience or Bachelor’s Degree
- Step 3: 10+ years related experience or Master’s Degree
- Step 4: 5 years of experience AND a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- As your years with us accumulate, so will your steps. For example, if you work a full year with us and you are on a step 2, next year you will be a step 3. (Pending board approval)
