Domino Effect of Kindness
Tis the season... H.B. Williams Elementary students created a domino effect of kindness. The fourth-grade team spearheaded a service project that included a cereal drive. Almost 700 boxes of cereal lined three different hallways at the school today. Students used their math skills to determine the number of boxes needed and distance between each box to create a domino rally. All boxes of cereal are being donated to a local food bank.

The Grinch Visits BBE
Benny Bills Elementary has transformed into Whoville complete with a visit from the Grinch. Students are taking their picture with him and enjoying fun activities related to the movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
"In Whoville, they say – that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then – the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches, plus two!"
We think the Grinch's heart grew today after hanging out with our kids

Indian Lake Elementary Clothing Drive
Indian Lake Elementary students are learning the reason for the season. Third grade sponsored a cold weather clothing drive to benefit the Sumner County Family Resource Center. Students handled the marketing, communication, sorting of clothes, and distribution of more than 1,200 coats, scarfs, gloves, winter clothes and blankets. Students were rewarded with house points for each item donated. The Family Resource Center is a place where our financially challenged students can receive clothing, toiletries, and food. If you would like to make a donation to the center, you can email Cathy Graff or call her at 615-451-6548.
