SCS Delivers Thanksgiving Food to Those in Need
Sumner County Schools along with our community supporters spent Thanksgiving delivering food to those in need. Around 450 people received turkey and sides courtesy of INC in Hendersonville, GAP Inc. (Shanda Whitfield); Kappa Alpha PSI (Chris Ford); and country music singer, Tracy Lawrence.
"We know how far a solid meal can go," Sumner County Schools McKinney Vento Coordinator, Kecia Ray said. "If we can bring a family together over a meal and put a smile on someone's face, then we have succeeded. We are grateful for our community supporters who donated the food. We couldn't have done it without them."
