Frankie Skinny Distinction Award

Sumner County's Frankie Skinner Named National Finalist for Leadership Excellence

Sumner County Schools Director of Instruction, Frankie Skinner, has been recognized as a national finalist for the District Administration Leadership Institute Woman of Distinction Award, standing out among more than 400 applicants nationwide.

One of only six awardees, Skinner has demonstrated exceptional leadership in education, inspiring others to reach their full potential while driving improved student outcomes, higher graduation rates, and enhanced educational opportunities.

Her leadership is characterized by an innovative vision, personal integrity, and a relentless commitment to student success. Skinner combines instructional expertise with community-driven collaboration, positioning Sumner County Schools as a model of educational excellence in Tennessee and across the nation.

Recognized as a national leader in literacy and instructional innovation, Skinner is also pursuing a doctorate from Lipscomb University, with expected completion in December 2026.
