At Sumner County Schools, our mission is to prepare our students for life beyond the classroom by helping them become responsible, productive, and respectful citizens.

We do that by not only challenging our students to do their best in the classroom but by challenging them to "Live Above the Line" through our award winnning Quantum Character Education program.

Each of our 45 schools and our district office are accreditied by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

For the past 6 years, our district has been in “good standing” with No Child Left Behind targets.

Our graduates earned more than $21 million in scholarships last year.

Our test scores are routinely competitive with state and national averages in all content areas.

The Board of Education believes that the education of children is a partnership between schools, families, students, and the community at large. In order for students to reach their maximum potential, all partners must be knowledgeable of and engaged in all aspects of the education process.

The Board recognizes that its communities and families are diverse in many ways, but all share the desire to see children succeed. It is the Board's desire that all families be invited, encouraged, and assisted in their efforts to participate in the education process.
